REGISTERED MAIL basically insures the package for up to £500 and a signiture is required giving some form of proof of delivery. I will always send registered as once the parcel has left my hands, I can pass it's responsability over to the postal service, thus registered mail at least offers security and insurance throughout the postage system. However, only a select number of countries offer this service, and does not apply to USA, South Africa, or Brazil for example, where a max of £28 insurance can be given and only with recorded mail.
Registered Mail Cost cost is about £3.50, for all countries outside the UK and insures parcels upto £500, with orders worth over this and up to £2000 costing a £4 insurance fee....cheap rearly
For USA & Brazil, its sometimes best that I split the parcels into smaller £28 values which each get sent 'Recorded Delivery' at £3 extra per parcel. Sounds a lot but this is the safest and cheapest way to send to States, Brazil or South Africa for example, and does offer a little insurance. I can send without recorded delivery but I can NOT guarrentee or give insurance that the parcel will arrive safely... It's always your choice though!
NON REGISTERED COUNTRIES i.e. those which can only use recorded delivery, USA and Brazil for example. Sending expensive items to these countries can only be insured if sent by an additional carrier, and I use 'Parcel Force' which generally charge from £15 for first 1 KG, to anywhere in the world, which is cheap when insuring items worth £200 and up.
PLEASE NOTE: I ALWAYS SEND ITEMS OUT BUT ONCE I HAND THEM OVER TO THE POSTAL SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM BECOMES THEIRS, THIS IS WHY REGISTERED OR RECORDER DELIVERY AND ADDITIONAL POSTAL INSURANCE IS BEST, ESP WHEN ORDERING LARGE QUANTITIES OR EXPENSIVE ITEMS. SO FAR I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS THOUGH!!!
To reduce the cost dramatically on mags and large orders I can send them by surface mail which takes a lot longer but will certainly cost upto half the price.
BULK order, five or more items usually cost less per item to post than single items sent seperately as one package can hold a lot of items at no extra cost, also I usually give a discount on bulk orders, ask when emailing me.
If you want me to send a parcel without registerd or recorded delivery added, I can not and will not take any responsibilty for it, once it leaves my hands it WILL become your responsibilty!
I will notify you once the parcel/s is sent, if nothing arrives after 14 days, first notify me, then check with your local & head post offices or delivery office that your items are not stuck there for some reason. Next, I will notify the post office here in UK and find out when it left here, then I can fill out relevant insurance forms and once the investigation is complete I will get a replacement sent out, can take some time though!. But dont worry, the postal service of registered and recorded parcels is so good and very rarely does it mess up.
CURRENCY I accept all currency that is noted in currency accepted, and only at the rates show, which currently dont include exchange reats as it's currently free to exchange foriegn cash.
TRUST ME I have been a Madonna collector since 1985 and am not interested in ripping off others. I always send and can supply refrences, YOUR word is everything in this world....
