There is now a brand new Mexican promo CD in card picture sleeve. This has similar picture to the German promo and has 'PCD1590' catalogue number. Includes the regular two mixes: Radio Edit and Radio Edit Without Rap. I'll add more information and scans shortly!

I have spotted an apparent NEW USA promo CD pressing for American Life. The CD is apparently enhanced with a "secret Web link", according to a sticker on the case. It apparently comes with color cover art: black & white w/ the red streak. Includes: American Life Radio edit (4:27) and Die Another Day Calderone & Quayle Afterlife Mix (8:52)!

If you have this pressing pleas elet me know with a cover and disc scan enclosed. I'll feature it here with full credits of course!

This is the cool USA, full colour tri-stand shop display, pressed to promote the American Life album, released 22/04/03. It comes falt-packed initially and when assembled it stands upright. The clear outer plastic is designed slightly too small so it bends the card display making the whole thing curved! It measures 30cm by 26cm.

Well, I guess it was obvious that this would happen eventually! The video for American Life which shows Madonna in army style clothing had it's premier showing last night (31st March), but Madonna pulled it today, the day after! It won't be used at all now!

Before the war everyone here in UK, and possibly USA also was dead against it, then once Bush and Blair started it anyway, everyone has basically backed it knowing they can do nothing to stop it. However this has also meant that any ANTI WAR sentiments which were 'trendy' two weeks ago are now a NO NO!!

I wonder if the video will be released at all in any format now? Watch out for promos!! I'm sure the publicity will help get it to number one worldwide? Let me know what you think. I love the tune, great!!

There is a cool Italian cover magazine called Rock Star with Madonna cover. These come sealed and include a FREE NON Madonna CD. Not sure whats inside as all copies are still factory sealed.

The UK has yet another totally amazing UK cover magazine, this being the May 2003 edition with totally superb 'cammy' Madonna cover. The cover is titled: "MADONNA attacks!" and inside there is a cool trade advert for the single and a staggering eight pages of brand new images of Madonna. Includes a cool and brand new interview with Madonna. Also has a rather nice totally illustrated discography from Everybody to Die Another Day, although it's not totally correct it's a pretty good try! The images are amazing!

There is a cool fashion magazine with Madonna on the cover called CRU magazine, dated: February/March 2003. This is from Hollywood in LA, USA. The cover is in glossy paper and includes an American Life club Post Card / Flyer!

I have also noticed a Greek Madonna cover magazine called E. Has cool American Life cover shot and includes others inside.

The first promo CD release here in Europe is this little beauty. It's a cool promo in card picture sleeve which is the first actual promotional CD to have a card p/s, Don't Tell Me came with card sleeve but was a CDR promo.

This pressing includes the following two mixes:

02) American Life (Radio Edit Without Rap)

The first CDR promo has surfaced. This one is from the USA rather than here in the UK which is a great change! The CDR promo has insert sleeve with titles and white disc. This pressing was apparently sent to industry recipients who were unable to access the official digital download from the Internet. Has the same tracks as the initial German promo CD:

The UK (and Germany) is set to have two CD singles, CD1 and CD2 as always! No news on the actual picture inserts yet but I'll add this shortly.

CD1 includes the following three tracks:
1. American Life (Edit With Rap)
2. American Life (Missy Elliot Remix)
3. American Life (Peter Rauhofer's American Anthem) (Part 1)

CD2 includes the following three tracks:
1. American Life (Edit With Rap)
2. American Life (Oakenfold Downtempo Remix)
3. American Life (Felix Da Housecat's Devin Dazzle Club mix)

Note the Missy Elliot remix! looking forward to hearing this, plus I love what Pail Oakenfold does so American life should be a great release.

I remember when Madonna pioneered the video single back in the early nineties! And now Madonna (and Warners) has pioneered the first downloadable MP3 single for American Life. This can be bought from the official Madonna website for $1.49.

The download will be made available from March 24th and are sent direct to your computer via an MP3 file!! This also includes a special voice message from Madonna.

It’s only available to USA customers but I’m sure it will be extended outside if it sells in America!

Just noticed that Warner Brothers are actually using Ebay to sell the 'electronic' single of American pie!

First of all, I'm back again!! Not been anywhere but I also run a coastal accommodation website which is taking up a great deal of my time running! Hard work but I'm still Madonna'in big time...

I have updated the main page so that Netscape 6x and 7x users will see the Explorer 5x and 6x mainpage. I am also completing the DAD listing and will complete the DAD Collectors Guide ready to start one for American Life.

Also been hard at work writing and editing the new 2003 Madonna Ultiography Collectors Guide which I hope to get printed in May/June. It will be A4 and huge!!! Will contact hunderds of amazing close up images of the rarest Madonna stuff. I'll also get a database started which along with hundreds of high res images will be used to create a brand new Madonna Image website. More info coming later this year on that project!

22nd April will see the album released - Hurray!!!
I should start getting info on promos etc shortly and will email the 2000 collectors on my mailing list as and when I get info. I'll also post it here so keep watching this area.

I'll add info in the USA 'W' magazine here tomorrow.. Plus there is a brand new Italian cover also. Back shortly..
