Thanks Dimi from Germany for new information on releases of American Life album and single. Well the single and album is guarenteed and seems to be titled American Life! This will probably not change.

The single will commence airplay on European radio stations on 24th March. I guess promos will be pressed anytime from beginning of March!

The single will be released in Germany and most of Europe on April 8th. UK will get it a week after at a guess. Australia usually gets the single the weekend before the German release.

22nd April will see the album released - Hurray!!!

I guess it would be rude not to share the recent images of Madonna in 'old boys' flat cap. It's an old English thing. A cap that is usually these are worn by old boys and country foke! I guess living in the English Wiltshire countryside is taking it's toll on Modonna!

The Sun newspaper and Heat magazine both feature shots of Madonna in Beverly Hills, LA, where Madonna has been staying. Great to see Madonna looking so fit, let get more bikes on the road - less cars!!

The disc clearly shows Brazilian Warner wording in Portugese! If you own one please let me know with more details? If you have a spare one contact me please!

Cheers to UK 'crazy long time Madonna collector' Sean Brady, for information on the last of the USA Advance promo 12". This prompted me to include info and images of the two advance promos that have appeared from USA for Die Another Day.

Both advance pressings have white plain die-sut sleeves with white labels on the discs. These have similar design to regular promos but have limited information on the labels usually.
The first was a two mix advance promo (PRO-A-100978-A) which includes the following mixes: Radio Edit 3:29 and Album Version 4:37. This is a single vinyl pressing.

The final advance promo was a double disc pressing (PRO-A-101005-A) with the following mixes: Dirty Vegas Main Mix 10:08, Thee Retrolectro Mix 6:59, Deepsky Remix 7:27, Thunderpuss Club Mix 9:25 and Thee Die Another Dub 8:26.

It's the beginning of a lot of speculation about Madonna's plans for 2003! Expect many of these stories to appear in the press over the next week. These are are from a very reliable source but are not 100% confirmed:
- There is a track on the new album which is over 12 minutes long.
- Some sources are saying that the album is pure electronic disco - others are saying that it features a lot of guitar.
- Madonna will definitely be touring this album and has been saying that she feels that the DW Tour was too self-indulgent. She wants to redress the balance.
- Following the tour will be a box set featuring all Madonna's singles and some rarities.


Madonna's new album is set to include a composition written with Monty Pitman - guitarist on the Drowned World tour (and Madonna's guitar tutor).

An unused track from the album sessions is believed to being given to another US female artist who is hoping to make it big(ger) in 2003. Who could it be ...? Expect to know soon.

The album is set for release on 15 April with the single due in Europe at the end of February.

SURPRISE, surprise Madonna is set to cause more controversy when she releases her new album in the Spring. Our spies tell us she takes a pop at her homeland in her next single, American Life.

"Madonna is getting her own back," we're told. Another song - on the as yet untitled album - is called Hollywood.


Kevin Reagan (who designed the artwork for 'Ray of Light', 'Music' and 'GHV2') has been commissioned to work on the new album. Kevin was also present at this week's photoshoot.

Well, there are now rumours buzzing about relating to the new single release from Madonna. Apparently the first single will be called American Life? However, as we all know by now, things often change!!

The following article is from MTV.COM! The article offers some hot tid bits about the new CD and denies that Jonas Akerlund will direct the first video.

Before she released Ray of Light in 1998, Madonna revealed she had developped an interest in Kabbalah, a mystical sect of Judaism. The news was greeted with scepticism by some who had watched the business-savvy pop star embrace and discard materialism, eroticism and high culture. But Madonna's spiritual awakening seems to be for real. She's taken to wearing a Jewish star and has encouraged her husband, Guy Ritchie, to explore the religion's teachings. And she recently told talk show host Larry King that she wanted to give her next album, due in April, a Hebrew name. At the time she was favoring 'Ein Sof', which means 'endlessness'. Madonna's publicist said the album title is still undetermined and that there's a good chance it won't be in Hebrew.

The record is being co-produced by Madonna with Mirwais Ahmadzai, who manned the boards for 2000's 'Music' and 'Die Another Day', the lead track for the recent James Bond film of the same name. The first single will be 'American Life', and the album may also contain a song co-written by Guy Sigsworth, Gem Jones and Jacques Lu Cont (a.k.a. Les Rythmes Digitales), who was Madonna's musical director and keyboardist during the Drowned World Tour.

Songs on the record will feature electronic instrumentation, but the vibe is 'very, very different' from anything Madonna has released, the publicist said.

Photographer Craig McDean has conducted a shoot for the album art, but Madonna hasn't decided whether to use the images. The publicist could not reveal additional track titles, but said a video for 'American Life' will not be shot by Jonas Akerlund, contrary to a report on Madonna's website.

I just received information on this amazing 1 track 'Oscar' givaway. Madonna's Die Another Day is set for inclusion in the Best Original Song category. This CD promo was sent out at some time recently. However there is a chance that this is just another bootleg pressing?

The CD promo is white with basic information and WB logos and comes in some kind of card picture sleeve with james Bond graphic. May also come with the poster pictures above? Everything does look amazing and oficial. Can you help?? Let em know if you know about this cool pressing!

Thanks to Alan again from Australia for alerting me to the now obvious mis-pressed Australian CD2 and maxi CD.
Initially a CD1 and CD2 were planned for Australia. This was then changed at the last minute and CD2 was replaced by a maxi CD. However, the CD single, initailly CD1, came out with the promo sticker meant for the maxi CD (CD2). Likewise, the maxi CD had NO sticker on it at all! Neither CD carries any reference to 'CD1' or 'CD2' other than on the promotional sticker!

The 'bungled' sticker pressing can be seen in the left side image above. The right image clearly shows the mis-pressed 'FELIS DA HOUSECAT' which should read FELIX DA HOUSECAT with an 'X'! The sticker was then re-printed with the correct spelling! Which was then stuck onto the maxi casing instead! BIGGER CASES | BIGGER CD2 INSERT

Just thought I'd mention the main differences between the German/European and UK Die Another Day CD and vinyl pressings. I have on many occations mentioned how German/Euro CD singles are different to those manufactured here in the UK but for Die Another Day these differences are far more obvious!.

The German CD singles generally don't appear to include promo stickers, like the the UK ones did. As can be seen above, the German ones both have pink disc graphics with white and silver (clear) swirls where as the UK CD1 and CD2 have the black disc graphic with pink and white swirl. The German insert sleeve has 'Made In Germany' where as the UK ones don't! The UK ones also include a 'W---' catalogue number prefix.

The 12" vinyl pressing was also pressed in both the UK and Germany/Europe. The UK ones had a small, square black and white promo sticker on the left side of the front sleeve where as the German ones has a huge, rectangle black and white promotional sticker instead. The German ones are similar to the USA promo stickers. Likewise the German 12" card sleeve's boxed edge is a lot thicker than the UK one. The UK ones include 'W---' catalogue number prefix and exclude 'Made In Germany' wording. The UK discs include 'W---' prfix and exclude 'Made In Germany' and the 'c' and 'p' wording at the bottom of the label is on seperate lines on the UK one.

Yippie, this is the third 'non advance' USA promotional 12" to appear for Die Another Day! This pressing is called 'Die Another Day - The Mixes Part 3' and is out on promotional format only in USA. Has cool red labels with 'WB' and 'MGM' logos, but otherwise traditional promotional label design. It contains the following mixes: Calderone & Quayle Afterlife Mix 8:53 and Calderone & Quayle Afterlife Dub 10:06. .
Comes with super cool promotional sticker which includes the remixers and "LOOK FOR THE NEW MADONNA ALBUM IN EARLY 2003", which is the best news I've heard all year!
