Just noticed these interesting and totally BOOTLEG coloured vinyl Music albums. They look familiar, similar to some other Madonna coloured vinyl pressings that appeared last year! There is a pink one, blue one and a green one and all have suspect 'EMI' labels, making them easily recognisable as NON Warners and NON official? BIG PINK | BIG BLUE | BIG GREEN |

There is another EMI bootleg vinyl pressing that has been bought to my attention. This one has black sleeve with similar EMI sleeve sticker to the above pressings. The label is also similar and this pressing may be the blue vinyl one featured above! BIG IMAGE

Bex Weir from here in UK has also mentioned these bootleg pressings at the Madonna Message Board so why not have your say, maybe you can shed some light on these strange pressings? Otherwise Email me with any information.

I have also noticed some rather intersting promotional item, so the seller says. These consist of two apparent Warners Chilli promotional only note pads? There is one for Music and another newer one for GHV2! Bother look nice and if official would make a great collection piece.

YOUR MADONNA MESSAGE BOARD!

While walking in a local book store a totally new Madonna book caught my eye! It's another publication by Omnipress Books called Madonna Style. This is basically a photo album of shots from the early days right up to the Drowned World tour, but done well!!

It's soft back but quality and has about 160 pages, most of which feature colour images and plenty of information. Interestingly enough it even features a few Madonna websites including one that I remember first spotting back in '96, by Angie Hung!!. BIGGGER IMAGE

I also noticed credits to UK collector and writer James Blandford who I've know for many years now - nice one mate!! Well worth grabbig a copy!! If anyone need one E me!!

Stuart Price is incredible.
He is also in a group called "Zoot Woman".
I have the CD and it is excellent! If her new album is anything like the Zoot Woman sounds, it will be incredible. I saw on the German Music channel "Zwei" last summer that Madonna fell in love with Zoot Woman and wanted them on tour with her. Zoot Woman is incredible, I highly recommend:-D

It has been officially announced that Madonna will write and perform the title track for the new James Bond movie. The film will be called 'Die Another Day', but the 'title' track doesn't necessarily have to carry the same title. This has been confirmed by both Madonna's management (Liz Rosenberg) and the producers of the Bond movie.

I have just discovered another unique GHV2 CD album. It's the totally cool Indian CD album with neon-red and black disc graphics, similar to the 'now scarce' Turkish pressing. The Indian CD album is made officially by Warners India and comes with full picture insert. BIGGER IMAGE

This summer is set to see the build up to Madonna's brand new album. Expected out in the stores in August with promos and CDRs appearing, I'm certain, by May! As always I'll keep my eyes peeled for EVERYTHING that is pressed for this new album!

Madonna is set to work with Mirwais once again, along with Stuart Price from the band Les Rythmes Digitales? So expect an intersting sounding album! The fact that Madonna canceled the Matinee performances at London's Wynham Theatre certainly goes to show how seriously She is taking the new album!

I'm busily contacting dealers and other contacts for any information on the new album and early collectables so keep an eye on this page!

A member of staff at the theatre where Madonna is set to perform in Up For Grabs mentioned that Madonna would not be performing Matinees at all throughout the ten week stint! Which has been backed up by info from fellow collector Peter Good from here in UK. Who after buying matenee seats was told that Madonna has cancelled these appearances due to recording commitments!!

I gues this at least means a hope that a new album is set for release this year!! I know what I'd rather have!!!

A pitty for Peter though! Did anyone else get caught out buying matinee tickets?

Its official, Hungary has just produced a cool Madonna cover Elle magazine. This is their March 2002 edition and has classic cover shot from last year's Elle explosion! It has same cover design as the Greek, Korean, Honk Kong and Russian editions and is now the 29th Elle!

Looks like Madonna will appear in London's West End from 23rd May for about 10 weeks at the Wyndham's Theatre. The play is called Up For Grabs and is set to be directed by Laurence Boswel, who recently directed Ben Elton's Popcorn!

This is the first time Madonna will have been seen in the theatre since Speed The Plow in 1988!

I'll watch the progress of this show and Madonna's role and make sure you get all the latest info! Lets hope We get plenty of merchandise to collect!

The theatre holds approximately 750 people per show, so that about 7 shows a week for ten weeks. So at least 52,000 people can see Madonna perform. Tickets start at £15 upto £37.50 for the top seats!!

Does anyone know if Madonna is going to perform everyday throughout the ten weeks? E-Me

Hi there Kev,
This definitely appears to be a bootleg. Some of these have surfaced at second hand record stores in Australia. I was in Melbourne on the weekend on business, and during my lunch break I went to a second hand record store across the road. I was amazed to see the Remixed double CD cover in the display cabinet for only $50 AUD! (when I paid $250 AUD for mine). $50 AUD is about $25 USD or 17 Pounds!

When I enquired to look at the CD more closely, I then noticed the shop assistant had a small pile in a box behind him. He told me he had just received them from a foreign record trader.

I opened the CD case and looked closer at the marvellous graphics. I couldn't find a recognisable promo cat number. The discs were not picture discs like my copy at home in Sydney. Rather they even were a bit blurred. I also then realised that the CDs had the Thunderpuss mixes on them which mine did not. I also the realised that the back cover had a white border around it at the top. Obviously very dodgy cutting at the time of pressing.

I even tried to identify the country of manufacture on either discs or cover artwork. Nothing! Last of all I asked If I could have a listen and when I was browsing the music on CD2, The Power of Goodbye played faintly and ended quite abruptly. So I confronted the sales assistant about my suspicions and guess what he asked me to do? Leave the store and that the items were not available for sale.

I might have frightened him. He must have been aware that these were fakes and must have thought that I was undercover or something. But I am glad that you have picked this up. I think there might be some copies floating around on E-bay. My advice is for Madonna fans to be aware that the cat number is PRO-CD-100781 and that these were made only in the USA and that the Thunderpuss mixes were not on either of the Remixed CDs. Each CD is a picture disc related to the same Versace shot by Steven Meisel (the back cover shot of the original cover artwork for GHV2). Also these copies are that limited in number that they are selling for $100 USD ++.

There is currently an enhanced CD featuring an instrumental version of Madonna's Ray Of Light with 'Madonna Impersonator' vocals singing the childrens song. It's released on the UK label 'Star Harbour'. This is apparently going to be re-released on a 'chart friendly' version on April 1st.

This is basically nothing at all to do with Madonna and I doubt I'll buy a copy! But if you want one it's catalogue number is DISCO0202, and release date was: 25-02-2002. BIGGER IMAGE

Just e-mailing you to let you know that some Sanity music stores across Sydney, have been selling the Limited Edition US Digipak CD with a bonus Australian pressed Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix CD (without the insert, just promo picture disc in slimline jewel case) together sealed as a package.

I heard that HMV were giving away the same CD, however theirs had a cover. After speaking to a Warner Sales rep who happenned to be Sanity Liverpool when I made this discovery, I was told that Warner Bros. Australia had pressed most GHV2 Megamix CDs with covers and only a handful without covers and that there was 1,500 in circulation originally, until record stores, newspapers, TV and radio stations began to promote the album and give away the Megamix CD either with a purchase or as part of a competition, and so another 1,500 were pressed. The CDs without covers were apart of the second pressings.

When I first saw this item I was totally amazed!! This is the totally official Turkish GHV2 album CD with totally unique RED disc graphics. These are fairly hard to acquire especially officially!! BIGGER DISC | BIGGER AUTHENTICITY.

It does appear that the UK GHV2 limited edition in digipak casing is actually a USA imported copy. This pressing also has 'Made In USA' on the large back promo sticker as well as inside, but often the sticker carries the longer European catalogue number prefix only non USA pressings, but this time they may all carry a '9362 48257-2' catalogue number?

I also just received an email from Australian Madonna collector Alan who noted: "There was a planned Australian issue of the digipak but it would appear that the only versions out here are actually US editions, which and also being exported to the UK! I had ordered a copy of the limited edition from a UK and a US based store hoping they would be different but they are exactly the same."

The following very informative details on the GHV2 LTD release has just been emailed to me from Silvio Arcidiacono in Italy:
Dear Madonna collector,
I'm a friend from Italy and a visitor of your site. My compliments! I found your site better that others because you are for sure a precise observator of the finest details like me (and my friend - we are probably the biggest Madonna collectors in Italy, over all for CD's, but we don't like to get too exposed like others in Italy).

I'm writing concerning the new GHV2 limited digipack release. Warner music Intl. stated that the packaging is the same all over the world, but this is not correct. As for the informations in my hand at the moment, there is an european made edition, an USA edition and an Aussie edition. I mean that both CD and packaging are released and pressed in those countries even if both CD and digipack states "MADE IN USA".

The euro pressing in surprisingly manufactured by an Italian factory called POZZOLI CD, for almost all the Europe (a collector in UK told me tht WEA of UK sell it) and you can recognize it because the CD inside has a matrix stating COPA along with the catalogue number and an internal number of the factory.

Then the Italian one has a custom special numbered sticker with the writing "CD produzione nazionale" (it means: 'CD of national production', and this is really strange because usually Madonna and other WEA records release are manufactured in Germany for the italian market- the only Italian made CD so far are The immaculate collection and I'm breathless both origina pressed in 1990 and now deleted and really rare and interesting in a serious and complete collection).

While the aussie GHV2 limited digipack CD has the writing on the CD label "Digital audio tecnologies australia" and an Australian matrix.

I don't know what the USA edition looks like because I didn't find a collector in USA that unseal it to check! It's incredible to say but everyone wants to keep it sealed! If you have a unsealed copy that you purchased from a usa dealer, please let me know what is written on the matrix.

There is also a Canadian pressed one distributed and manufactured by WEA of Canada and I'm going to receive it from a collector who lives there and I will let you know.

I hope this information can be interesting for you and I hope to share with you some more information and new.
