It is almost certain that Germany will produce a coloured vinyl 12" release for Don't Tell Me. This will include the following mixes: Timo Maas Remix, Victor Calderone Remix & DJ Premier Remix (9362 449680). I'll post a scan and info as soon as these are released in Germany.

Australia is set to have a second "Remix" CD single of Don't Tell Me. This will include the following mixes: Thunderpuss 2001 Hands In The Air Anthem, Timo Maas Mix, VC Sensory Mix, Tracy YoungClub Mix, 2001 Tribe A Pella & CD ROM with the video, Lyrics & Screensaver (9362449692). Ill have plenty to go around.

There is a USA 12" of Don't Tell Me, titled: "Madonna vs Dream Team". This includes some unreleased Hip Hop Mixes Plus an Acapella. (DTEA12S5). Not sure what this is or if it's official, but I'll find out and post more info here. The USA will also have a CD single, maxi CD with CD ROM; this will prob have video, screen saver and lyrics... There is also another 12", which is set to be a double pack containing seven mixes.

There has been a number of rumours of a third CD for Don't Tell Me with remixes by DJ Premier and Timo Maas. This was initially rumoured for Australia and Singapore, where so far only one CD has surfaced. WEA Singapore have denied any plan for a third 'CD ROM' CD. There is also rumours of a UK third CD with CD Rom component but no confirmations here yet!

OTHER NEWS:
Singapore has a native CD single for DTM. This is made in Singapore and released on 28th Nov. Comes with just two mixes: Album Version and Edit. Personel at Warners Singapore have also said that a CD2 would be released on the 2nd week of December. However HMV Singapore siad that they have had no news from Warner Singapore about Don't Tell Me's release, so they're importing the singles CD1 & CD2 from the UK, which should be in Singapore by mid December as well. However, this isn't official news from Warner Singapore, and HMV said the same thing with the Music single and was proven wrong. So 4th August may be the date of CD2, which may include 5 mixes: Album Version, Cyber-Raga + 3 other mixes.

Malaysia also has a CD single, issued on Tuesday 28th November. The cover is the same as all the CD1s. No borders except at the corners (gold borders at all 4 corners). On the upper right hand corner is the 'RIM' sticker (Malaysian official CD's initially carry a "RIM" sticker on the front sleeve (rectangular blue sticker) which means it's an original unpirated CD. ). The catalogue number is under the words "Madonna" "Don't Tell Me" on the breast of her t-shirt. (9362 44946-2). There are no tracks listed on the CD, which is itself powder blue with a white horse shoe with the words "Don't Tell Me" at the bottom (part of) the horse shoe. In between the top of the horse shoe is "M". Around the edge of the CD is written "Made in Malaysia by Warner Music (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.". No tracks are written on the back sleeve pocket of the CD sleeve. The inner sleeve is white with a yellow border around the edge, and gold corners (same as outer sleeve).

The text on the Malaysian CD has a LOT of mistakes. It reads: "Don't Tell Me (Version) 0:00" followed by songwriting & publishing credits. It's the album edit, clocking at 4:11. Then is "Cyber-Raga (Non-Album Track) 0:00" followed by songwriting & publishing credits, it's the same old cyber-raga as available on the Jap/Oz albums and the US Music single. Then: "Don't Tell Me (Remix Version) 0:00" followed by production credits. Interestingly, remix credits reads as follows: "Remix & Additional Production by XXXX XXXXXX". It's actually the Thunderpuss 2000 Club Mix, clocking at about 7:50 something(?). It's not very interesting aside from the mistakes made on the sleeve. I wonder whether new copies would see a rectified sleeve?

Everytime I update this page I have to then update it again, this is the third update today! There are now two more CD Clone CDR promos and a 12" vinyl promo.

There is a six mix CD Clone CDR, same format and design as the past two Clones, with white titled insert sleeve and white disc. This comes with the following mixes: Thunderpuss Club Mix, Thunderpuss Radio Mix, Richard Humpty Vission Remix, Richard Humpty Vission Radio Mix, Tracy Young Club 1, and Tracy Young Club 2. Similar track listing to the seven mix version with another Tracy Young mix and no Cyber-Raga track! BIGGER IMAGE

The four mix Clone comes with following mixes: Thunderpuss Club Mix, Richard Humpty Vission Remix, Tracy Young Club 1 and Thunderpuss Radio Remix. Similar to above Clone but less mixes. So this is the fourth Clone CDR to appear which is the most I've seen for a single release in USA. This carries same catalogue number as the four mix promo 12". BIGGER IMAGE

Finally there is also a USA promo 12" (PRO-A-100512-A). Comes in plain die-cut sleeve and comtains four mixes: Thunderpuss Club Mix, Richard Humpty Vission Remix, Tracy Young Club Mix, and Thunderpuss Radio Mix. First, Cheers to Aussy boy Kritsis for the scans, Gooday mate. Here is the Australian promotional CD single, the third Australian Madonna promo CD (Frozen and Music being the other two). This is so cool and just wonderful. It comes with front cover insert, although NO back inserts, just a clear casing, but to make up for this there is a fantastic picture graphic disc. Well here is the first release of Don't Tell Me, issued on Germany this week, Monday November 13th. There is a jewel cased CD single, pictured, with three tracks: Don't Tell Me 'Radio Edit', Cyber-raga and Don't Tell Me 'Thunderpuss club Mix'. I love the picture sleeve, totally cool!! BIGGER IMAGE. This CD comes with German/Euro catalogue pefix and UK 'W----' catalogue prefix: (9362 44946-2/W547CD1) so will prob be same as the one issued here in UK on November 27th.

There is also a CD2 CD single (pictured on left), which although not issued in Germany, it will be available here in UK. This comes with following mixes: 'Album version', 'Thunderpuss Radio' 3:40 and 'Vission Remix' 7:52. This comes in same picture sleeve as the card sleeve German CD single and should be available here in UK on 27th November. (9362 44947-2/W547CD2). BIGGER IMAGE

Germany has also got a four mix maxi CD single, containing: 'Radio Edit Version', 'Cyber-Raga', 'Thunderpuss Club Mix Version' and 'Vission Remix Version'. This CD will not be released here in UK. I have just found out that the UK release is now 27th November, and not 4th December anymore, hurray!! Unfortunately this is still two weeks away. If anyone wants German copies please email me asap... UK will get CD1 and CD2 only, plus cassette single and 12".

There is also a UK promotional 7 mix CD surfacing on the Internet; same tracks as the USA CD Clone CDR but different sleeve and disc layout. Comes with plain titled perferated sleeve. It's basically a folded card sleeve which has perferations all around it but one side is still intact acting as a spine and the other sides open. The sleeve comes slipped inside a thick poly envelope sleeve. The disc is same design as the p/s CDR issued in UK. This comes with following mixes: 1 Dont Tell Me 'Album Version', Radio Edit, Thunderpuss Club Mix, Thunderpuss Radio Mix, 'Vision Remix, Tracy Young Club Mix and Cyber-raga. This is another, totally official, UK Promotional Custom Studio CD-Refenrence CDR, known as "The Thunderpuss Remixes". Apparently limited to 110 copies?, which is strange for a CDR to actually be limited to a set number. This CDR includes the following mixes of Don't Tell Me: 'Thunderpuss 2000 12" Remix' 7:09, 'Thunderpuss 2000 12" Remix Edit' 5:39, 'Thunderpuss 2000 Club Mix' 8:27, 'Thunderpuss 2000 Radio Mix' 3:43, 'Thunderpuss 2000 Mixshow' 5:56, 'Thunderpuss 2000 Drum-A-Pella' 8:26 and 'The Beats Of Thunderpuss' 2:55.

This is the USA CD single pictured on the right. I was certain that no USA release was coming yet but here it is anyway? This may actually be a promotional copy. BIGGER IMAGE

I have just received this cool scan of Madonna phone covers issued by Warners and sold through the Madonna fan club. This is an official BOY TOY inc. item. These fit the Nokia 3210 and Nokia 5110, and cost about $60, about £40. (cheers to Candy Perfume Boy for info) BIGGER IMAGE

A few days ago Madonna appeared live on German TV on the 'Wetten Dass' show at 8:15PM (GMT+1), where she also performed Don't Tell me live. The whole show is now available in MP3 format from www.madonnasashram.com. I love this site, it's dedicated to video and music from Madonna and the guys at Madonnasashram seem to update so often!!! Keep up the great work guys. They also have the David Letterman show from USA and CNN Interview.

Madonna looks like appearing at the MTV European Music Awards in Stockholm at the weekend, lets hope she does. If you manage to attend this awards then please send scans of Madonna should She appear. Thanks.

It does now appear that the USA will NOT be getting Don't Tell Me this year anyway! What the hell is America doing nowadays no Power Of Goodbye, no American Pie and now possibly no Don't Tell Me.

The UK premiered 20 seconds of the Don't Tell Me video on Friday's Top Of The Pops. Next week on Friday 17th the whole video will be shown! Madonna is also set to perform live at Top Of The Pops very soon, as well as have Her own Top Of The Pops show, which will be broadcasted at Christmas.

I should have copies of the promotional video sometime in the next 10 days, so keep watching the site for info and prices.

There has also been rumours that Madonna would perform at a London HMV store to promote Don't Tell Me, but as yet there is NO confirmation of this.

The official web site, www.madonnamusic.com will be broadcasting the Brixton concert live on the Internet, so the whole world can watch it. This is expected to be the biggest ever Internet music concert broadcast!

What the UK tabloids said today, 10th November, 2000

Here is the Sun with Dominic Mohan's ticket giveaway; this is where the world first heard that Madonna was going to perform this year. In today's SUN newspaper, here in UK (10/11/00), there is a "Madonna Lottery" where you can win a pair of tickets... Only 100 tickets available though but I've entered!!

The official Madonna site (www.what-a-poor-site!) www.madonnamusic.com has about 50 tickets available through their competition. Just log on and fill out a form. By the way, I wonder if anyone at the www.madonnamusic actually kows that a UK postcode, required to enter, is different to a USA ZIP code? Enter away guys and girls..

What the UK tabloids said today, 7th November, 2000

Well, today the first pictures of Madonna's half hour November 5th Roseland Ball concert were shown in the UK tabloids: The SUN, Daily Express, Daily Star and the Mirror.
· The SUN: includes half the cover showing Madonna with coloured Britney Spears ripped T shirt, and the headline: "Britney? I'm Mad on her!" Inside it features a whole page with brief article and four shots of Madonna on stage (wearing her black Britney Spears T shirt). BIGGER IMAGE
· Daily Express: includes half page headlining "Madonna a fan of Britney?", and a short account of the concert and two pictures of Madonna including one with a selection of fans.

Roseland Ballroom was last played by Madonna back in 1982 and here she is again in the year 2000! The concert was packed by 3000 fans, some paying up to $7000, £4500 for the privelage. The stage was decked out with huge American flag and '65 Ford Pickup truck. Madonna started with the track "Impressive Instant". This was followed by "Runaway Lover", an acoustic "Don't Tell Me", "What It Feels Like For A Girl", finishing with "Music".

Dominic Mohan, writer for the SUN newspaper, is still convinced that Madonna IS GOING TO PLAY LONDON'S BRIXTON ACADEMY on November 28th. Well we will find out soon if He's wrong or not!!

Last night, Monday 6th, the TV channel ITV2 aired Madonna's appearance on the David Letterman (spelt right?) show which was aired live in USA on Friday 3rd November. I love her appearance, esp Her rendition of "Don't Tell Me", played to Her own guitar playing! Supperb!!

There has been two totally cool CD Clone CDRs from USA. Both come with titled insert and white disc with basic titles, both rare! The first came with three mixes of DTM: Vission Remix, Tracy Young Club Mix, Thunderpuss Club Mix. The other is same in design but carries more remixes, and also features Cyber-raga track. The mixes are: Don't Tell Me - LPV 4:40, Don't Tell Me - Radio Edit 4:10, Don't Tell Me - Thunderpuss Club Mix 7:53, Don't Tell Me - Thunderpuss Radio Mix 3:40, Don't Tell Me - Vission Remix 7:52, Don't Tell Me - Tracy Young Club Mix 11:01 and Cyber-Raga 5:31. One other super rare item is a rather nice acetate 12" made in London for the future 12" (I expect). This one is the same as the Nothing Really Matters acetate that I acquired last year. It's made by 777 Productions and comes with plain sleeve and hand written labels.

As you now know by now, Im sure, the UK had produced two intersting CD promos. The first was a CDR promo issued for radio stations only, coming in custome picture sleeve, although it's desigh was actually only made for this pressing making it a very collectable item. This pressings comes with CDR disc with printed title, and incorrect track time of 4:46 (should be 4:40) and WEA logo. These were apparently withdrawn by Warners shortly after they were released. These are totally official and rather cool. There is also a second version, identicle, but was issued in Germany. This includes a small cover sticker, denoting it's release date, etc, as appear on most promo CD pressings in Germany (and UK). Finally, there may also be copies that don't have the incorrect 4:46 track time on the disc? BIGGER SLIP CASE | BIGGER BACK SLIP CASE

The second UK promotional only CD release comes with same design as the UK/German Security Service CD album promos, yet is a CD single! This is the first ever Madonna promo issued like this. Comes with titled sleeve and distinctive pink grahics and 'Edit' mix of DTM. Not sure how scarce they are yet, but I have not seen many on sale anywhere? BIGGER IMAGE HERE

Finally, there looks like being two UK CD singles, on November 4th?? followed by a 12" I would guess. Germany, however, is getting their release on 20th November, with a card sleeve CD single and another jewel cased CD single plus both UK ones, and also a 12" vinyl.

I have just heard from friend, Dimitri, of Germany, that Germany will be getting a Coloured Vinyl Limited Edition 12" for Don't Tell Me. This will be the second 12", with the first coming in black vinyl as usual.

Germany is still set to get Don't Tell Me released on 20th of November, where as here in the UK the release has now been set back until 4th December!!! This wil mean that German copies of the CD and 12" will be sold long before any other countries get theirs.

Well Australia finally got their copies of the USA LTD Music album CDs. All four surfaced and as with here in Europe, and USA, the black LTD was the most popular. This means that now, the European LTD's are gonna get even more sought after...

Other Australian news includes news on their fourthcoming Don't Tell Me release, which looks like including the non Euro and USA album track, 'Cyber-Raga', as well as a number of DTM remixes. Only one CD confirmed so far, but sure there will be another!!

I just saw this interesting item on the Internet. I was not sure if it's actually official, but it was manufactured for a Music album release party. Most parties were not official as the only official one was Madonna's in New York (?). The chocolate was made by a small company in USA called Ediblepix, I emailed them to see if the chocolates were made officially or not!!

This was their reply:

Warners have confirmed that "Don't Tell Me" will be the next single, and there is already possible remixes done by: 'Tracy Young', 'Victor Caldarone' and 'DJ premiere' etc..

The UK release date for the single is approximately 20th November, and the European release (Germany), looks like being a week earlier on 13th November. Promotional copies should appear end of October.

I have just received an interesting email from Esprit Mail Order, ragarding an article that was entered in the LTD DIARY area. The article was from UK collector TK who was commenting on the the UNOFFICIAL Music box set that Esprit had sold him. TK was totally unsatisfied with the box set that he was sent. Well Esprit have basically said that they agree with TK and that they were also totaly unsatisfied with it and have decided to send all unwanted box sets back to their supplier. They also said that they are more than willing to offer a total refund incuding postage!

LATEST INFO:
I have just recieved information that confirms the Madonna UK date story. Madonna is set to play Brixton in London on the same day that the next single is released, Nov 20th. Unfortunately the 4000 tickets may not be offered on sale and will more likely be offered in the form of competitions with others being sent to select persons.

The Prodigy, another UK band will also play followed by Madonna and the the UK's Chemical Bros, yet another UK band. There is also a roumour of a world tour in 2001, which will allow Madonna to play old favourites, as well as the more modern songs that will certainly be played in the November tour.

ORIGINAL STORY
In the UK's Sun newspaper on Tuesday 26th, there was a half page exclusive by Dominic Hohan that basically stated that Madonna had told him that She was gonna play London's Academy in Brixton! She has also apparently going to play LA and Paris.

Well, a day after, Weds 27th, I have received information from Fellow UK collector, Tom Kettles, who has spent all day phoning Brixton Academy as well as the Sun Newspaper. So far Brixton Academy has completely denied any knowledge of this concert saying that they have not been contacted by Madonna or anyone at Maverick!

The Sun, and reporter Dominic Mohan have both been flooded with phone calls from Madonna fans asking for more information.
