World release date for MUSIC on single is July 6th 2000, a real industry Madonna-day.

I am currently creating a brand new area called Ultiog Of Music, which will be yet another HUGE 'Ultiography' comprehensive collectors guide; this one to everything MUSIC from it's release on single in July and throughout the album's era. There will be a regular area, similar to Ultiog Of Light and Ultiog Of NBT, but I am also creating right now a 'dynamic' version, especially for IE 4 and 5 users, which will be available automatically to users with IE. (I also hope to create a Netscape version, so if anyone out there programs extensively for Netscape, using Java Script and CSS, please get in touch with me asap as I need to know which properties work in Netscape... if this does not make sence, don't worry, it's dynamic talk...)

Apart from the many USA magazines that have recently surfaced from the NBT film, all of which will eventually be added to 'Ultiog Of NBT', some interesting covers have surfaced over the last few weeks.

Singapore produced their classic 8 Days(bigger image here) magazine with cool Madonna cover, which is now scarce. Likewise there is a now scarce French cover magazine called Cine Tele revue. The UK produced What MP3 (bigger image here) which has a great cover. Probibly the rarest cover this month is one from Budapest called Nok Lapja (bigger image here) which was out on the 17th April and now hard to find. Australia has just produced You Magazine (bigger image here) which was a FREE magazine given out in shopping malls. New Zealand has just produced New Idea (bigger image here). A cover called Ocean Drive (bigger image here) has just surfaced here in the UK from London. Austria there is Tv Media with full NBT Madonna cover. Other covers includes Entertainment City from HK, Ginaika from Greece, AUT from Italy, while Poland has just produced Halo. Likesise, Elle (bigger image here) from Central America has just appeared with Madonna cover.

More covers include: ES (bigger image here) supplement from UK's London Standard newspaper. The UK has also just produced SUNDAY (bigger image here) magazine supplement with Sunday's News Of The World (21st May). France has also produced Night Concept. And yes, Brazil's first year 2000 cover has just appeared, a beautiful cover for Epoca (bigger image here) magazine. There is also now True Detectives - Summer issue (bigger image here) with Madonna making up the majority of the front cover. Heat (bigger image here) magazine in UK has also just surface with great full Madonna cover.

The London newspaper, Evening Standard has a magazine supplement with the Friday (19th) edition. The magazine is called the 'ES Magazine' and it comes sealed in a plastic bag and is 'big'. The cover story is "The Man Behind Madonna', with a loveley new pic of her. I am getting copies of this magazine, sealed, in a few days...

I am still desperately looking for copies of 'Ocean Drive' magazine, apparently including Madonna cover?? As soon as I get these I'll add them to the 'Latest Item' area. Same goes for 'West End' magazine which looks like being a London-only publication.

There may be two or three Official Madonna box sets on sale right now. These appear to be Swedish, but may actually be German/European..

NEW MADONNA COLABORATION "Paradise (not for me)"

There is a new album out in Europe called "Production", by Mirwais. It includes the new Madonna song "Paradise (not for me)". This track is one of nine on the album.

I just noticed on Steve's great web site scans of the infamous American Pie CDR in pie tin... It certainly is a cool item, and I would guess it was made officially. This is an item that would cost a fortune to acquire! It consists of a CD-sized cake tin, with cardboard cake top and inside offers a CDR of the American Pie CD with the following mixes: Album Version, Victor Calderone Vocal Dub, Victor Calderone Filter Dub Mix, "Humpty" Vission Visits Madonna, and "Humpty" Vission Radio Mix. The whole thing comes in a (card - guessing here) pink cake box. Bigger Image Here

There is also a FAKE version that has been sold on Ebay (of course!), so beware!

I have just recieved this scan of a totally RARE UK promo of American Pie... All UK promos were shipped in from USA so all DJs, etc were actually sent or bought USA copies.... This was the first time that NO UK 12" appeared and an import used! BUT this pressing is definately a UK promo and comes with beautiful red labels and totally unique red sleeve label...

Cheers Gus Tiene from UK for this scan and letting me know about this rare pressing.. If anyone out there can shed more light on this mega item please do so...

I have also just located a UK promo video with pain case but this also has a large RED sticker on it. The video cassette it'self is the same as the 'Vandequest' plain case promo that accompanied the p/s version (three UK promo videos in total now!). Ill post a scan in a few days. I will also have one or two copies of the RED stickered video available for sale if anyone is interested.

I recently recieved an email from a friend about a rare Holiday 12" that he acquired. Here is a copy of the email:
"Hello, i just got today a "holiday" 12" single, catalogue number WBM 53. The title sleeve is white with painted figures running along the front; the back is similar with the painted figures running along the bottom), and has the words (reading from top to bottom) '12 inch dance mix' (in red), 'MADONNA', 'HOLIDAY', 'I KNOW IT'. The disc labels have the year as 1983 on them. Is this the Australian release for this single? It does not show a country of manufacture on the labels. Thanks." I have guessed it to be either Australian because of the Words: "WEA RECORDS PTY", or maybe South African because of the 'WB' catalogue number prefix!! Does anyone else know?

Hello!, Concerning this item: holiday" 12" single catalogue number WBM 53.
Many years ago I bought a similar record from a charity shop, it has an almost identicle cover, but the animation is of dancing feet. The LP contain's a unique version of Everybody, and also features other artists. It was a UK release. The Everybody version is timed the sime as the first album version, but in fact it's VERY different, it is intermingled with another track by another artist. It's 100% official WEA release. Maybe you'd like me to scan it for you? I scanned it many years ago for Steve Carco (just the record label), and he mistakenly stated on his site that it was from Brazil.

Wednesday 19th April saw most of the UK's newspapers with Madonna on thier covers. "Madonna: It's A Boy" was 'The Sun's' headline, along with full cover shot, although a rather old and tacky image!. The 'Daily Record' and 'The Mirror' both offered half page Madonna and bump shots; The Daily Record's showed Lourdes. Both 'Daily Record' and 'The Mirror' included a full page as well, both on page three... The shots all show Madonna in pink cardy, shopping.

JAPAN: "American Pie Remix" CD has the following five mixes and Catalog number is "WPCR-10693":

The third release now includes the two Victor Calderone mixes, which were otherwise only available on the scarce USA promo 12". YES this is the first confirmed MUSIC album pressing, infact possibly the first pressing worldwide... Guess what! the Japanese album will feature an additional bonus track just like 'Ray Of Light' did way back then...

Web site accross the globe are being forced to take down their MP3 samples of MUSIC. This is a fact, and it's a lot more serious than most of us would believe.

I initially noticed, about three weeks ago, that many Madonna sites had uploaded a 30 second MUSIC sample that was leaked from Warners, and that this track was available by simply downloading it to your PC, something that Madonna was apparently very unhappy about.

I have just learned that a large number of sites have been given a warning NOT to offer the download of MUSIC to visiters and some sites including 'The Singapore Link' were actually forced to close for a short time after being contacted by Warners.

'Madonna Trader' (NOT Madonna Power as i originally wrote, sorry guys) was also closed and the web master was served a bill for £100,000 ($170,000) for royalties that were owned dude to the site's claimes that they 'exclusively' showed the MP3 of MUSIC. Warners wanted the site to pay royalties for MP3's from 1998 to 2000!

Madonna Trader has now taken all it's audio and visual clips off their site, to keep on the good side of the law and Warners, although these were just 30 second clips and not whole tracks.... If you know of any sites still offering the MUSIC or VIDEO downloads, I suggest you email them and let them know about Madonn Planet and this page.
