with a youthful audience, they created a non-television organisation

leather has been used many times for a magazine cover. It is the first

magazine. After 1994, Nieuwe Revu changed its style and now rarely puts

1984. Madonna does not look too happy, or is she trying to look really

A very lively photo on the cover, a sweaty Madonna performing during the
Who's That Girl tour. Note also the small black-and-white picture on the
left below of Madonna and her brothers and sisters in a group hug. That
photo was taken from the Life shoot of December 1986.

'S NEERLANDS MAD
One of the most curious Dutch covers ever is this Dutch edition of the
American satirical magazine Mad. When folded out, it becomes a poster
and the cartoon shows Madonna sitting on a toilet.

Only two months after Haagse Post used this photo for their cover,
Hitkrant made it theirs as well. According to the article, Madonna was
exhausted after the Who's That Girl tour and wanted to be left alone.

This issue has a lot of information on the release of the album You Can
Dance. The cover is exactly the same as the sleeve, including the
artwork. A picture from the same shoot had already been used for the
sleeve of La Isla Bonita (see also Hitkrant of April), but this time the
white background has been replaced by a flaming red one.
