Hong Kong has produced just two GOLD disc CD album limited editions, the first being 'Something To Remember', the other was issued for 'Immaculate Collection'. There have been just two different limited editions issued for the 'Ray Of Light' album and both are rare and very collectable.  This is the rare and virtually un-obtainable limited edition of 'Ray Of Light' with free interview CD like the one included in the Singapore/Malaysian pressing. This comes as pictured with red promotional sticker, OBI and sealed.[BIGGER IMAGE HERE]  Another limited edition from the album 'Ray Of Light' and an even rarer pressing than the above CD. This is the digipak holographic pressing as issued in USA and Europe. Comes sealed!.
The first real interesting USA limited edition CD was the velvet digipak issued for Bedtime Stories back in 1995, followed by Ray Of Light's hologram sleeve pressing, with the four Music limited editions being the most recent.  "Bedtime Stories". I love this pressing! It was issued in 1995 in America only and was very limited. It has and was initially, sold as a promotional only pressing although it contains no promotional wording at all and more recently it's taken on limited edition status rather than promotional. This is rare though and is not easy to find. The casing is a card digipak with velvet type material on the outside. Singapore released three different limited edition CD albums for the album 'Ray Of Light'. All are now very collectable and vary in value from £100+ for the gold disc version to about £35 for the interview version. These were actually made in Malaysia and sold in Singapore as Ray Of Light was a bigger success their.   This is the last limited edition to be released for the album in Singapore. Comes with a free interview CD as originally only issued on promotional format in USA. This CD comes sealed and with yellow promo sticker. Taiwan rules the roost where GOLD disc limited editions are concerned. Taiwan produces many limited edition albums and these are definately the most sought after off all recent pressings. Expect to pay from £40 for the originals, and £30 for the latest reissued gold limited editions, if in card casing and sealed.  "Something To Remember". Taiwan rules the roost once again where interesting CD limited edition albums are concerned. Taiwan has produced two totally unique limited edition albums and a whole catalogue of GOLD BOOKLET limited editions, all of which will become scarce and very collectable in the near future.  "Ray Of Light". This cool CD is part of an official 'Warner Bros Taiwan' series titled "The Best Female Singers Of The World", an absolute gem. These really are totally cool and are now scarce, and hard to find even in Taiwan!. These come with a unique full outer 'OBI' sleeve, certainly not released this way anywhere else. [BIGGER IMAGE HERE]   "Ray Of Light". This version of Ray Of Light superceeded the one above in Taiwan. This comes with full back OBI and also included the gold booklet that appeared with all the 12 CD albums re-released in 1999. [BIGGER IMAGE HERE]  "The Spy Who Shagged Me". This is the third and best 'Shy Who Shagged Me' CD album released in Taiwan. This edition comes with unique half Madonna picture sleeve OBI and includes a FREE poster tucked inside. These are really beautiful and will become scarce, and very soon mega collectable like the 'Ray Of Light' limited edition. For the release of the video collection, 93:99, Singapore produced two very intesting CDV variations, both of which have become highly collectable.  "Limited Edition Collector's Disc". This is the special Limited Edition Collectors pack, with the VCD, plus a special collectors pic disc, with Madonna pic, and "Madonna: Artist of the Millennium" text, in a seperate single jewelcase, both held inside a special cardboard outer sleeve, with a die cut hole to expose the face of the collectors disc. The collectors disc incidentally does not have any music or video recorded on it. [BIGGER IMAGE HERE] | [BIGGER IMAGE HERE] | [BIGGER IMAGE HERE]  "Karaoke Edition". Another great Singapore limited edition, a karaoke edition, it has some really cool particularity. It does not have lower vocals, but as the video plays, you can hear 2 different tracks!!! If you balance the sound on the left speaker, you can hear the instrumental version and sing along with the words appearing on the screen. Beside, the right speaker let you hear the original version of the video. The amazing thing is that almost all the instrumental versions are unreleased, it's so great! You will listen to unreleased instrumental mixes of Take A Bow, LDLHA, Bedtime Story, Rain (completly new). The only one instrumental version is the one for Secret. [BIGGER IMAGE HERE]

Well recently have surfaced a whole array of bootleg 12" picture discs, YES, BOOTLEG picture discs. These have been sold generally as either "UK promotional picture disc albums", or as "Mexican picture discs". Infact most seem to have been manufactured in Italy!

These are the CD bootleg Russian picture discs issued last year. Initially these obviously bootlegged copies were sold as official by many dealers across the net, selling for well over $200 each!!! Luckily their true identity has surfaced and now are five of many other Russian bootlegs that currently roam the Internet. 
The UK has produced far more limited eitions than any other country, all original and all collectable. From the first confirmed UK limited edition, "Lucky Star 12" sunglasses sleeve with FREE POSTER", back in 1983, there has now been 65 LTD's since, all of which are featured below.

This is a 1988 limited edition/promotional item!! This item comes with three 12" singles and two albums, all printed in Greece. The 5 items came with the bag as a promotional item. The bag is black with a color photo of Madonna from the Who's That Girl Tour. If the bag and records are in mint condition expect to pay upwards of £100!
"3" CD Singles Box Set". Issued in 1997 this is just a fantastic limited edition from Japan. Initially advertised as being limited in small numbers, this box set sold fast. Comes with 40, 3" CD singles all in miniture card picture sleeves and slipped into a hard card box. This item is now scarce and sells easily from £175 to £250, but is sure to become rare!. Comes complete with booklet, sealed with red promo sticker. 
This is a fantastic box set issued for the release of the 'Immaculate Collection' album in the UK, Germany and USA. Initially this box set was released only with CD album, amongst other items.. Later there was a cassette album veraion but this was issued only in the USA. The box set comes with folded colour poster, video, special digi-pak Cd album, (or cassette album), colour postcards. These cost about £20 initially and now sell anywhere from £20 to £45 if mint.
